VINYL SOUP's Only Summer Appearance!

VINYL SOUP will be making it's only summer appearance on Saturday July 10, 2010 at the Watertown Music and Art Festival in Watertown, TN (formerly Watertown Jazz Festival). VINYL SOUP will take the stage at 4pm and will play a 50minute set.

This year will mark the festivals 14th year. Past performers have included Maynard Ferguson, Jeff Coffin (Dave Mathews/Bela Fleck), Ellis Marsalis, and many more.......

Drummer Mark Cardwell joins VINYL SOUP

VINYL SOUP is very excited to announce the latest addition and new drummer to the band, Mark Cardwell! Mark is a 24 year old native of Knoxville, TN. Mark has had the honor of studying drums with Lalo Davila, Andrew Smith, Richie Florez, Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez,Bill Bachman, JD Blair, and Derico Watson to name a few. We welcome Mark to the VINYL SOUP family and can't wait to share the new groove with all of you soon!




Andrew Hooker Produces MS Bluegrass Band, Nash Street

Throughout the month of February, Andrew Hooker will be producing MS bluegrass band Nash Street. www.nashstreet.com. Nash Street is a hot up and coming progressive bluegrass band from Starkville, MS. The band will be holding up in Hooker's Franklin, TN based studio, The Cave Studios, www.thecavestudios.net. Nash Street was the winner of the 2008 Colgate Country Showdown in Nashville taking home $100,000 and being awarded "Best New Act in Country Music". Nash Street has recorded at Ricky Skaggs studio and Dark Horse Studios. Hooker and The Cave Studios are very honored to have been chosen for the bands third studio effort!!!!



Aaron Faust Leaves Vinyl Soup

Drummer Aaron Faust has announced that he will be leaving Vinyl Soup in January 2010 to pursue a career in Nursing. Aaron joined Vinyl Soup in June 2008 shortly after the departure of drummer Chuck Brooks. Aaron helped sustain the band's touring momentum throughout 2008 and 2009 which has been the bands biggest touring years to date!

We wish Aaron all the best!

We will return to the studio and road as soon as Aaron is replaced.



VINYL SOUP Cancels Perfect Norma Festival

Due to flooding, extreme weather conditions, and the powers that BE from up above VINYL SOUP has been force to cancel its  3-4pm performance slot on Saturday May 2nd at the Perfect Normal Fest in Ripley, OH. We would like to send out a special apology to all our fans who were planning to come to this event. We are just as dissapointed as you are and we look forward to possibly returning next year!



VINYL SOUP Cancels Founder's Brewery

We are very sorry to announce that Founder's Brewery in Grand Rapids, MI has been canceled. The show was originally scheduled to be performed with Covert Operations. Covert Operations will still be performing!! Due to tour dates not confirming we have been forced to cancel the show. For all of our Michigan fans we will be returning to Papa Pete's in Kalamazoo with Covert Operations on Saturday March 14th!!
